 Dear Prospective International Student:

Thank you for your interest in DaliUniversity. As the Chairman of the University Commission and the President of the University, we warmly and sincerely welcome you to study in DaliUniversity.

DaliUniversity is located in a world-known tourist city ---- Dali, a famous historical and cultural city in China. The University is also one of the universities in China that the Chinese Ministry of Education recommends for international students.

DaliUniversity covers an area of 180 hectares with two extensive beautiful campuses. There are more than 1000 teachers, of whom 400 more are professors or associate professors. There are two university hospitals with 1000 faculty and staff members respectively. The total number of full-time students now on campus is around 17,000, including 800 more postgraduate students, 900 more international students from 19 countries. There are around 21,000 correspondence students.

DaliUniversity was established in October 2001 as a result of the combination of four colleges: DaliMedicalCollege, DaliTeachers College, Dali Radio and TelevisionCollege and Dali College of Industry. Now the university offers programs in liberal arts, science, medical science, engineering, education, law and management, agriculture and etc. The University has 16 colleges and 8 scientific research institutes offering 28 master degree programs, 53 undergraduate programs and all the programs are open to international students.
